The site of The Kirk stone circle, at SD251827 in Cumbria, is now almost completely returned to the surrounding moorland.

The Kirk stone circle - Cumbria

Choose to belive this an April Fool ploy but I can assure you that the rim of the bank, which is all that now causes the site to be visible at all, can be seen in a broad circle across the width of this picture in the heather. Literally "The Church" (for those unaware of the scottish word) this site commands a fine view down over the sloping moorland, and over the sea beyond, my kind of religion.
