This
project involved redesigning an existing power tool with a focus on identifying
opportunities through research, conceptualizing solutions, testing them and making
a unique design contribution. The
problem of inadequate control and grip was identified in the research stage. Concepts
were created, followed by a testing phase where ideas were proven through ergonomic
models. A preliminary form model was created in foam. After further iterations
and refinement a final weighted wooden model was created and the product branded
to fit a current product line. |
