This fanciful scene was inspired by an Agriculture and Agri-Food poster entitled "Attacked on all fronts", which depicted destructive insects massing on the the borders and poised to invade. In this mythical sequel, the troops are gathered in a secret briefing room under a fortified ant hill to receive final dispersal orders prior to the invasion.

I would like to thank the following, for without their unwitting participation this card would not have been feasible. Not all insects and mites represented are drawn to scale, however they are depicted as accurately as possible with the aid of stereo and compound microscopes. They are listed under common name, scientific name, family name, and order under which they are classified. Cette scène fantaisiste fut inspirée par une affiche murale d'Agriculture Canada intitulée " Attaque sur tous les fronts"qui dépeint des insectes destructeurs se rassemblant en masse sur l'encadrement et prompt à envahir. Dans cette suite mystique, les troupes sont réunies dans une chambre secrète de breffage enfouie sous une fourmilière fortifiée et attendent les ordres finales de dispersion avant l'invasion.

Tous les insectes et acarien représentés n'ont pas été nécessairement dessinés à l'échelle, mais ils furent dessinés avec autant de précision possible grâce au microscope à loupe binoculaire.
