Spirit of Toronto returns in 2011 on Saturday, May 14 !!!

 

 

Spirit of Toronto is Toronto’s Annual Whisky Gala, a spectacular evening featuring a dazzling array of 100 plus single malts and premium spirits, tutored tastings, live jazz, gourmet catering, classic cocktails, and a poolside cigar bar on the outdoor lower level of Roy Thomson Hall.

 

SPIRIT OF TORONTO 2010 HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDED …

 

Special Guest, Sam Simmons: whisky luminary and author of the award winning Dr. Whisky website returned to his hometown to present a vertical tasting of all 6 of The Balvenie 17 Year Old annual releases

 

The “Spirit of Toronto 2010 COLLECTION”: A collection of noteworthy and privately imported whiskies that patrons sampled in exchange for the token found in their Blender’s Malt Whisky Glass.

 

Early Admission: Once again in 2010, Spirit of Toronto opened its doors early to offer patrons a choice of 3 pre-show masterclasses that were presented from 5:30 to 6:30pm; patrons were then granted priority entry to the main tasting halls

The Spirit of Toronto Cocktail Bar: an opportunity to sample classic cocktails featuring the finest spirits from Scotland, Ireland, the U.S. and France

Live jazz with the Mark Eisenman Trio and the bossa nova sounds of the Reg Schwager Duo

 

A poolside cigar bar on the outdoor lower level of Roy Thomson Hall, along with “Cuba Meets Scotland’ presented by Regis Lemaitre, a pairing of a limited edition 2009 Bolivar Petit Belicosos with Aberlour a’Bunadh
