• ground floor painted surface duplicates original stone
• original 2nd floor with fine ashlar Glocester limestone
• triangular and segmental pediment pattern copies Rafael, Michaelangelo, Palladio, Inigo Jones, etc.
• original small arched 3rd floor windows and stone façade replaced
• original cornice remains, 3 floors added
• interior has original surviving party wall
• Ottawa's only surviving manual passenger elevator.
• proposed for demolition by NCC to create Metcalfe Square.
