Church Programs Adult's Ministries Alliance Women Care Groups Facility Maintenance Hospitality AGAPE Library Music Prayer Chain              Adult's Ministries   Alliance Women This ministry seeks to provide opportunities for women of all ages to meet together for fellowship, spiritual growth, outreach and service. Whether your gifts have practical and / or spiritual emphasis, we invite you to participate with us. International Hour: Featuring evening meetings, Craft Days and year end Retreat. Alliance Women as an organization has objectives that do not change from year to year. To build the local church worldwide by: Increased knowledge for the overall ministries, intercessory prayer for the overall ministries, sacrificial giving for District Missionary Outfit and assisting Canadian Ministries, and Evangelistic Outreach.  Care Groups What Is A Care Group? It's where people gather in Christ's name and really care for one another. It's belonging and being loved by others. It's being accepted where you are and giving acceptance to other people who come into the circle. It is where heart to heart fellowship takes place. It is where the circle of love is continually being enlarged to take in one more person.  Each Care Group has a leader, assistant leader, host/hostess. Groups meet in homes as well as at the church. Most groups convene any day and time through the week whichg may be determined by the leaders in consultation with the group. The times and locations of the Care Groups are posted in the church bulletin. Further information provided by calling the church office. We encourage everyone to consider joining the Care Group of your choice.     Facility Maintenance Ministry PurposeTo glorify God through a Church facility that honors Him. The major areas of service are: Ushering during the Sunday morning worship service which includes receiving the offering, opening and closing the building. Operation of the soundroom and audio-visual support for the regular worship times and special events. Setup and take-down of tables and chairs as well as relocation of other furnishings and equipment for special events. Conducting renovation and repair of the church building which includes the heating, lighting and plumbing of the building. Conctracting and monitoring of the groundskeeping, snow removal and janitorial services. Service and repair to equipment. Hospitality The Hospitality Committee is responsible for coordinating food functions for the Church family.  This includes Evening Fellowship "Pot Luck"suppers, Banquets, billeting of guests, Funeral luncheons, Bridal and Baby Showers and maintenance of the church kitchen. Many new friendships have begun over a cup of coffee, and the time spent together offers opportunities to show love and concern for one another.The committee welcomes new members. If interested in serving the Lord in this vital ministry of the church, please call the church office. AGAPE The AGAPE Ministry offers help to those going through a difficult time by providing meals or snacks.  This includes severe illness or hospitalization of a household member, a death in the familyor a new baby (when Mom returns home from the hospital).  Many "willing helpers" in the East Gate Church family assist in this ministry. Library The goal of the library is to deepen and strengthen our understanding of God's Word through the perspective of many authors. We should remember, while reading any book, that we are free to agree or disagree with the author's view point because only God's Word is irrefutable. We offer a wide selection of topics that include Bible Study helps, biographies, Christian life, fiction, family etc., to meet everyone's needs.A tape ministry has begun where you may borrow a sermon tape for one week or, if you prefer, you may purchase the same at $2.00 per tape. Some people have bought the tapes to give to family members or friends who may have a particular need at the time. The library is open before and after the morning service. We also have a book drop-off if you missed the opening hours. A total of three books may be borrowed for three weeks. There is a small late return fee. However, if you were unable to finish the book(s), please feel free to renew them.The library is here to serve you. Please feel free to come in and lookover our selection and also offer any advice that would enable us to meet your needs. If you would like to become involved in our work please let us know.     Music Ministry Purpose: Our purpose is to encourage the praise and worship of our God so that as a body of believers we will draw nearer to our God through music. Worship Team: Leads in Worship each Sunday morning. Team practice on Saturday morning 10:00 a.m. Adult Chior: Choir under the leadership of Stephanie Landry and Jennifer Buitenwerf, practice for special seasonal performances. Dates to be announced. Vocal Groups and Soloists: East Gate has been able to produce many fine duets, trios and vocal groups who participate in our services.Soloist are also a main part of our music ministry, especially on Sunday mornings.     Prayer Chain Due to our concern for one another we have a Prayer Chain Ministry, knowing that God is able to do more than we can ask or think.
