Parliament buildings in winter, Ottawa
This is the Centre Block, built over the spot where its predecessor burnt down in 1916. To the right of the peace tower one can make out the top of the Parliament Library, which survived the fire thanks to Michael MacCormac, a clerk who had the presence of mind of shutting the door linking it to the Block.
