Several other KeeKaWa dogs have appeared on the series playing different parts for example, skijoring , Dief's love interest, Dief's son and daughter, Dief as a little puppy. et

 

KeeKaWa's "Kaery-Anne"

Kaery-Anne performed some stunts  and also acted as Diefenbaker, along with her daughter MacKenzie and Lincoln.  In one episode in which Kaery-Anne portrayed Dief, she had to ascend the stairs in the police station  A police officer was sitting on a step eating a McDonald's hamburger and she went straight past him.  For Kaery-Anne this was a great feat, as she has often been referred to as a 'chow hound'.  She accomplished this in one take.
 
 

          KeeKaWa's MacKenzie King   

MacKenzie is Kaery-Anne's daughter.  She grew up to help portray Diefenbaker along with Lincoln and her mother.  She played Dief on the raft along with Fraser and Ray at the end of "North".  When she was a pup, she portrayed 'Sunshine', one of Diefenbaker and Maggie's (Keeley) offspring in "The Wild Bunch".

Ch. KeeKaWa's Southern Treasure "Fraser"

As a young pup, Fraser portrayed 'Buster', one of Diefenbaker's and Maggie's pups in "The Wild Bunch".  He is Kaery-Anne's son and a litter brother to MacKenzie.
