Please express our deep and sincere thanks
to all the African AIDS Angels for this generous donation of $1800. As
you know, the Rand is weak so your dollars translate into a
substantial sum of money in our currency and it looks really good on
our bank statement. Thank you SO much.
The children are back once again and we
were thrilled to see them! Not one of them died and seemed to be in
relatively good health. There are 60 children coming in every day now
plus 8 who are in our brand new schoolroom. Mealtimes are a bit
crammed and decidedly noisy, but they are happy and so are we. Right
now they are having breakfast, having arrived in the two microbuses.
They have porridge enriched with peanut butter (for extra protein and
fat) and milky 'red bush' tea. The latter grows in SA, is herbal,
healthy caffeine-free and is delicious.
I hope the year has started well for you
and the other 'angels' and I pray that 2007 will be happy, healthy and
fulfilling in every way.
