The
H.M.C.S. Regina (K-234)
Several
books have been written about the Royal Canadian Navy including
not only its overall history, but also specific history related
to the Second World War only. In addition, at least one
of which I am aware, concerns Corvettes only - and this class
includes the Regina. This history of my father's ship is
recorded in these books and two chapters from these books have
been recopied for this tribute. The photographs are from my father's
collection and I am fortunate that photography was his interest
during and briefly after the war.
The following
books may be of interest to you. I have used chapters from these
books for the sinking of the Avorio and for casualty of the invasion.
