Lorne has performed with many nationally acclaimed acts. He has toured with Toronto-based Freedom/RCA Recording Artists Mondo Combo and with Sneezy Waters. He has performed at the Ottawa Jazz, Blues and R&B Festivals on numerous occasions, and on CBC national television and radio. Lorne has shared the stage and/or opened for the likes of Dan Akroyd, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Platters, Doug And The Slugs, Leahy, John Allan Cameron, The Funk Brothers, Comedian Mike MacDonald and Actor Jesse Collins.

STUDIO

Lorne appears on the Wayne Eagles fusion CD How’s Now on the Carleton Sound label (available from the prestigious Audiophile Imports catalogue). Other recordings cover the musical gamut, including CDs by Country Music Hall Of Fame singer Claudette Lefebvre and alternative rock singer Eloa, as well as various record "single" releases in nearly every genre, film and TV soundtracks, and jingles.

TEACHER:

Formerly the Drumset Performance Instructor for Carleton University’s Bachelor of Music program (1994 to 2001), Lorne also composed and taught a Latin Percussion course for Algonquin College’s Music and Audio specialty. He now maintains a busy private teaching practice at Metro Music in downtown Ottawa and teaches by contract for the Long & McQuade Music Education Centre.

He created and writes a regular feature for Drums Etc. magazine called Legendary Canadian Drummers At A Glance and writes for Modern Drummer magazine (U.S.A.)
