Fireballers in North America have originated a "shooter" known
as The Fireball. Rumour has it that the madman from
Atlanta, Pat Crump, mixed the original recipe. It is NOT
to be confused with this pretender!
Ingredients
- Equal parts of
- Vodka
- Cinnamon Schnapps, preferably Fireball brand
- Tobasco
- Cayenne red pepper
Mix the ingredients in a test tube, place thumb over end, shake well, and
drink. Shooting Fireballs is an important part of socializing after a day
of racing at any important Fireball regatta.
The Fireball Kit
An important piece of equipment for any serious Fireball sailor is the Fireball
Kit. This is usually carved out of wood, and has holders for the ingredients
and 2 or more test tubes. Fireball Kits were given away as daily trophies at
the 1996 Fireball Worlds in Kingston Ontario - hopefully our drink will now
become popular in Europe as well.
