A beautiful example of circa 1860's Victorian Chairs. The chairs
are made
from solid Honduras Mahogany. Except for
the side and back rails which are
comprised of Birch for the ground with Honduras Mahogany laminated on the
rails and later carved up. These chairs are comprised of some very beautiful and
dramatic sweeps all of which are deeply sculpted. The carved tulip on the
front legs certainly adds an elegant touch to the whole chair. It is also
good to note that the chairs are French Polished.
Our clients owned six of these lovely chairs but really needed ten chairs so
they consigned us to build them four more. Click
