AER Espanola - Water Tank

Espanola  - Looking South

The photo to the left, probably taken sometime in the 1920s shows the Espanola station, the freight shed and the enclosed octagon water tower on the opposite side of the tracks, between the passenger station and the freight shed.  According to a 1916 evaulation the water source for this tank was the Spanish River Pulp and Paper Company.  An undated CPR environmental assessment in the author's possession shows that this tank was sold and removed in 1960.
