Sudbury — December 1, 1999
The Algoma Eastern Railway Heritage Group is holding a public meeting in
Espanola, Ontario on Wednesday, December 8 at 7:30 p. m. in the Meeting
Room of the Recreational Complex.
The meeting's theme will be
Where should the Algoma Eastern Railway Heritage Group go from here?
The Group's aim is to bring a Tour Train to the Espanola area, running it
south of the town on Huron Central trackage.
"We have some information to pass on to those interested in a Tour Train
operation and in addition, we would like to have comments and questions
from the general public." said Dale Wilson, spokesman for the AERHG.
"The main aim in having a tour train is to provide a few jobs and persuade
tourists to spend at least one more night in the region than they would
otherwise."
Everyone is welcome at the meeting. Come along and bring friends.
