Community Services

Supportive Housing Short Stay (Respite)

The service will provide overnight accommodation, supervision, meals and activities for adults who require 24 hour support and supervision for short periods of time and/or to provide respite for caregivers.

Admission:

1 Bed - through North Renfrew Long-Term Care Services Inc. Applications through Placement Coordination Services whenever possible (613-732-7007) are encouraged.

Cost: $33.75 per day

 

 

Adult Day Service:

Adult Day Service provides social/recreation activities for frail elderly including wellness, safety information and a nutritious meal. The service provides individual and group activities, and the opportunity to socialize. It is currently offered Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday in Deep River.

Access: Through North Renfrew Long-Term Care Services Inc. (584-1900).

Cost:$8.25/day (includes meal and transportation)

 
Meals-on-Wheels:

Hot, nutritious dinners are delivered by volunteers Monday to Friday (evening meal) to seniors in the community.

Access: Through North Renfrew Long-Term Care Services Inc. (584-1900 or 584-4316). 

Cost:$5.25/day 

 

Wheels-to-Meals/Diner's Club:

Wheels-to-Meals luncheons are held monthly, usually on the third or fourth Wednesday of the month from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm, in the Drop-In Centre in Deep River, and the second Wednesday of each month at Stonecliffe Townhall. A hot lunch and entertainment are provided.

Diner's Club is currently offered 12:30 - 1:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the Dining Room.  

Access:  Call North Renfrew Long-Term Care Services Inc. Kitchen (584-1900) by 10:30 am for reservations. 

Cost: $4.75

 

Transportation 

Transportation is provided by volunteer drivers for seniors and physically disabled adults in North Renfrew to medical appointments local and long distance, and for local shopping, appointments and social outings e.g. Drop-In Centre.

    In-Town (Deep River) - No charge, 

    Ottawa - $140.00, 

    Pembroke - $38.50

24-Hour Flexible In-Home Support 

24- Hour support services are provided to community clients in their homes by Personal Support Workers, Paramedics, housekeepers, a maintenance worker and technology. 

Admission: Through North Renfrew Long-Term Care Services Inc. office (584-1900).  Clients in this program are assessed and eligible for long-term care at the North Renfrew Long-Tem Care Centre or the Four Seasons Lodge.
