
To encourage research into the history of the Township of Osgoode;
To secure and preserve an accurate account of the progress and development of the Township of Osgoode;
To promote public interest in the history of the area;
To maintain a museum and the property as a repository for indigenous Native and pioneer relics, artifacts, historical documents, and other articles of historical significance;
To promote the study, practice and knowledge of all phases of historical and archaeological research within the Township of Osgoode.
Vernon is about 25 km south of Ottawa on Bank Street (Highway 31) and 35 km north of Highway 401.
From Hwy 401: Exit at Morrisburg (exit #750) and go north on Hwy 31 (Bank St.) past the towns of South Dundas, Williamsburg, North Dundas, and Winchester to Vernon.
From Ottawa East: Take Hwy 417 to Bank St. Follow Bank St. south to Vernon.
From Ottawa West: Take Hwy 417 to Hwy 416, take Bankfield/Brophy exit #57 toward Brophy Dr. & Manotick. Turn left onto Brophy Dr. then turn right onto Rideau Valley Dr. Turn left onto Bridge St./Mitch Owens Dr., follow to Bank St. and turn right onto Bank St.
The Museum is on the southwest corner of the intersection of Bank Street (Highway 31) and Lawrence Street at the flashing light. Free parking is available in the lot beside the children's playground.
