that my mother used to refer to. Apparentely our two Grandfathers left the bosom of the family by way
of an upstairs cottage bedroom window, they then walked to Wales for a job in a Colliery before joining
the Royal Navy.

[ married 29th Oct. 1957] son Thomas age 8 born Studley son William age 3 born Studley son
Jonathon age 2 born Derry Hill Ann Townsend was shown as head of the house, William may have been
away in the Militia D.T. note 'Nimrod' says that on 1851 census that 31 Derry Hill was occupied by
a George and Mary Townsend and family.
