Welcome To Reilly's Country Gardens Online!

This site is mostly information about gardening in the Ottawa area. We offer our gardening insights and experience, gained from over 25 years of active gardening and 23 years of operating our specialty nursery, to assist our customers in becoming more successful gardeners, Some promotion of our business creeps into the contents of the site, but we have tried to keep this to a minimum.

You are welcome to wander our gardens each day during our hours of operation. We however ask that you don't bring your dog along for the outing. Our dog loves people but will challenge other dogs - especially those smaller than her.

We are strictly a retail nursery - sorry, we do not ship plants.

What's Unique about our Nursery?

For those wondering what's unique about our operation, we run our nursery as if we are our only customers. During the season we stock over 500 varieties of perennials (ornamental grasses & peonies are our specialties) and 100 varieties of hardy (Zone 4) shrubs and small trees. The majority of our customers own urban properties with smaller gardens needing plants suited to the smaller spaces available. We accordingly specialize in smaller trees and shrubs for todays smaller properties. We set very high standards for our plants, both in variety and quality. We treat every potted plant as if it will not sell (heaven forbid!) and thus it becomes a 'stock plant' at season's end. Each plant is therefore a financial investment to us and is worth coddling so it'll always be salable no matter what time of season you visit us.

Water Gardening Supplies and Aquatic Plants

Water gardening has become a new component of our nursery starting in 2005. Our Aquascape pond and waterfall system is now in full operation and we now sell water gardening components, packages and pond care products. This is an exciting and energizing new focus for our business - we can 'walked the talk' when we talk to customers about our project and what is possible in the Ottawa area.
