A chording transcription consists of the sequence of chords that make up the song, often with lyrics. In most cases the chording gives you enough to play along with the song, but you must do some work yourself if you want to know exactly how the song is played.

There is no strict timing information included with the transcription though the rough timing of the song is apparent. How the chords should be played is not defined. For example; if they are strummed, the strumming pattern is not part of the transcription, neither is the finger-picking pattern, if applicable.

Please refer to Appendix A for file naming conventions regarding chording.
