The biggest winds for 1998 - 55 knot gust! I can't imagine trying to sail when the gust is double the average wind speed...
My last day windsurfing in Ottawa (December 1st, 1998) What a way
to finish the season!
The windiest day I have ever sailed (to date!). It became even worse,
with a maximum gust
over 40 knots in the afternoon.
