Why should you go Windsurfing in Shippagan, New Brunswick
??
Here are some numbers for various windsurfing regions. While the Magdaleine
islands have the biggest averages, Shippagan is not that much lower (and
is better than Hatteras every month except July) and it doesn't take as
long to get to (5 hour ferry to the island).

Source of Data
Note: The preceding data comes from three different sources: the Métérological
Service of Canada (MSC), Environment Canada - Climatological Graphs of
the St-Laurence (EC.) and North Carolina Outer Banks (NCOB). None the preceding
sources was rigorously validated. It is thus impossible for us to guarantee
the accuracy of the data, although they are considered to be acceptable.
It is as possible as the conditions observed on the spots is diffèrent
from the preceding data because of particular geographical characteristics.
Analysis: Although the monthly averages of the area of Shippagan do
not compete in all points with famous the Island-of-the-Madeleine, our
conditions are generally higher or than all the least equal to famous Outer
Banks of North Carolina (the USA). June, May and July offers windsurfers
from ten to fifteen sessions per month with sails in the 4.0m2 to 7.0m2
range. It is not rare to see 10 days consecutive windsurfing days during
this period. Most best part of the season is spread out over August, September
and October with the best combination of wind-temperature in the middle
of this period, towards the end of August and the beginning of September.
In September and October, Shippangan offers conditions of wind very similar
to the Island-of-the-Madeleine with generally two days windsurfing days
out of three. November and April have potential days as well when the temperature
allows it.
