Alleyguide announces Caption Contest winners

December 4, 1999 If you are one of the many who took a shot at the Treasure Hunt Alley First Ever Caption Contest, the results have now been posted. The winner receives a "Very near mint carded (minus button) 1971 Fire Chief" and an Alleyguide T-shirt for their effort. Due to the volume of entries, 4 runners-up have also been named.

Mattel announces Hot Wheels Internet Bus III

By: Vic Prochazka November 5, 1999 Mattel is once again offering a collectible version of their popular VW Bus, to be available only on the Hot Wheels website. As usual, the the Bus features a custom paint job featuring the hotwheels.com website address. Also included is a 24K gold plated model of the Sojourner Mars Rover, approximately 3" in length. The set is selling for a whopping $60 plus shipping and handling, and is only available online. Demand must still be high, as Mattel has requested that you do not try to order it through their 800 number.
