Welcome to Greg, Susan & Gypsy's Web Page

Greg's Cross-Canada Bike Trip Report

Hi, I'm Greg and this is a web page that  Susan, Gypsy and eye share. Why is it called Whitey's web page you may wonder. Well, I started this web page years ago when my dog Whitey was still alive. He had fans around the world and people were always wondering what he was up to and this page was how they could find out. Whitey slept most of the day and I have suspicions that it's on the couch when I wasn't there.  Whitey passed away on Wed. Dec. 20/2000 and we miss him terribly. check out  his page  And since you asked, the name Whitey actually comes from a character from the Leave it to Beaver Show. I actually met "The Beaver", and I've exchanged emails with the original "Whitey" played by Stanley Fafara before he passed away on Sept. 20/2003. But that's another story.

We're dog people and after Whitey passed on, we were dogless until we welcomed Gypsy into our our home in Sept/2001. She now has her own page.

Myself, I play Hockey, Juggle, Canoe, Downhill Ski, Cross County Ski, do neat things in my Woodwork Shop, play computer games, research personal information methodologies, hack around on a home network of computers: Win98, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Linux, etc.

I cycle quite a bit recreationally and commuting and also do a lot of long distance bicycle touring.  I think that others may benefit from my trip reports and observations about life on the road. Want to learn more about my bike adventures? Check out my bike page

I grew up in one of the most beautiful areas of Ontario, Canada (and I think the world). Gravenhurst which is located in the region of Muskoka. Susan grew up in Chateauguay, Quebec and then moved to Montreal, and then to Chelsea and now Whitey, Susan and I live together in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. If you want to know what the weather is like right now in Ottawa, check out the weather network.

For those interested, I've got a couple of photos of friends and family taken over the years.  Time to put up some new ones.

At the end of every year I summarize what I've been doing into a letter that I send to friends and family at Christmas time. If you want to know what I've been up to for the last several years check out my Holiday Greetings page.

My links page is a collection of travel info, computers, bikes, relatives and anything else I think is neat at the time. Thanks for dropping by and please do drop us a line and let us know what you have been up to lately.
