Assembly Language Programming...
SKELETON SOURCE CODE
- SKELETON Version 3.2.1 ( .zip 67KB ) - examples on how to start building 32-bit applications using the Windows API with assembly language. I have rewritten the first and second releases of my Skeleton files and added to their evolution with this third release, updated for a Unicode or ANSI build with GoAsm, which includes the following:
BARE BONES gets you started with a simple window, menu, and Help/About dialog box.
IN THE FLESH builds upon BARE BONES with a View window and removable ToolBar and StatusBar. It has additional File menu commands which open and close a memory mapped file.
ALIVE AND KICKING builds upon IN THE FLESH with a split framework for TreeView and View windows. It has an additional View menu command for selecting a Font. It also uses the Registry to save settings.
UTILITIES
xlatHinc Version 0.9.8 ( .zip 40KB ) - translate from H header files to INC include files and view the equate, structure, and function definitions within these files. The translation favours Win32 and Unicode APIs resulting in an INC file for use with GoAsm.
PEview Version 0.9.8 ( .zip 31KB ) - my quick and easy way to view the structure and content of 32-bit Portable Executable (PE) and Component Object File Format (COFF) files which supports the viewing of EXE, DLL, OBJ, LIB, DBG, and other file types.
Awpm Version 0.9.2 ( .zip 8KB ) (for use with Windows XP operating system) - in switching over to the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard layout, this program has helped me to practice, monitor, and improve my typing accuracy and speed on digraphs, trigraphs, and other common two to four letter English words. I have also included a view option to display the DSK layout.
M Version 2.0 ( .zip 12KB ) (for use with Windows XP operating system) - generating fractal images brought my programming to the assembly language level, so here we go with one of my favorites, the magnificent Mandelbrot Set. I have updated the user interface for easier exploration along with Auto Zoom and Scrolling. More color depth and palette options have been added. You can still cycle through these pleasing color palettes and save the image coordinates or a bitmap file. I have optimized the FPU routine for an Intel Pentium 4 for even quicker image generation.

Guitar Playing...
Well enough equipped, yes, but as for actually getting to enjoy using this equipment, well, I do try, and with a little more listening, learning, and practicing with some of my favourite guitarists, I might actually get quite good at it and eventually start releasing some of my own creations.
Living-Learning...
I live near Ottawa, Canada's National Capital Region, where I also do some accounting work. Besides computer programming and music-guitar, I also like math-science and obtained a B.Sc.(Physics). Other areas of interest include general semantics and conscious dreaming as part of a developing curiosity in what is going on, so the living-learning still continues...
