Chapter - Clueless boss

"You thought your mother was clueless! My boss is really bad. He's supervisor of security, so you think he'd know about electronic security systems."

"He's afraid of computers?" Fred was skeptical.

"Not even computers!", John waved his hands excitedly. "The store put in an electronic security system and he treats it like it isn't there. Sure we watch the bank of monitors in the control room, part of the time. But he still has us doing our rounds as if it wasn't there. Every night, regular as clockwork, we leave the control room every two hours and spend 30 minutes walking round the building, checking doors and looking in the corners that no one could sneak into without going past the cameras."

"Really?"

"Yep. And it gets worse. Several of the cameras are movable, so you can watch someone walk down the alley between the store and the warehouse, for instance. He pointed them at the "ideal spot" and then he disconnected the power to the controls, so they can't be moved."

"Weird."

"And my mom says it's a good job, regular hours, and pays reasonably well for a student. Why should I waste good study time looking for another one?"

"Is he the guy you were talking to at the store yesterday?"

"Yeah, why?"

"I saw him talking to a couple of skinheads last weekend. One of them had a swastika tattoo on the back of his head."

"Really! Am I working with a Neo Nazi?"
