Change history

Welcome

I had a job at Symbium for 11 months in 2005 until they laid off half of the company. My work interests have changed to reflect the work I did at Symbium and Stilo - I am now more interested in doing integration programming and Software Configuration Management than network administration. In fact, I now work at Espial as build prime. I do a lot of integration work putting together a better build system for them, as well as other tools - mainly web based. As has become usual for me, I am using and proselytizing wikis within the company.

This site is a place for me to show off my stories, poems and other stuff. It serves as an incentive to me to write something frequently, errr, once in a while. Comments and suggestions are appreciated, so I have made them easy to make.

Some of you may be interested in the automated system I use to create HTML pages in the "Fred" and "Burn Water" sections. I am able to type up my stories in plain text, with blank lines between paragraphs, and other consistent formatting. My program parses these stories and stuffs them into templates, with extra information found in a couple of configuration files.

Tool Update!
I am trying out a free graphical web site editing tool called Nvu. You might like it. For graphics, I use PhotoImpact 7.

Thanks for stopping by!

Sincerely,

Robert
