Chef Maria De Guzman
Originally from Colombia, Chef Maria got her start as a hobby at age 13 while assisting in cooking for her father’s diplomatic mission in Africa. Later, as an adult, she ran a cozy coffee “café” in Bogotá, Columbia sharing crepes, natural fruit juices and Colombian pastries with travelers from around the world. The Colombian Coffee Federation certified her as a coffee gourmet expert. Not enough for this journalist and entrepreneur, Chef Maria created a Colombian TV program to showcase Colombia’s indigenous gastronomic culture. Later in Ottawa, she complemented her practical experience as chef |
with formal studies at the Cordon Bleu School. Following this training, she obtained a diploma in Food and Nutrition at Algonquin College. Today, she is totally filled with a passion for cooking-creating a truly unique Latino-Canadian mix of flavours and foods. Chef Maria specializes in Latino food, which derives from the Spanish culture when the old world smelled of pineapples, and people knew what the yucca, arracacha and plantains were. She combines this experience with her unique knowledge and style taken from the tables of Europe. There are thousands of exotic recipes unknown outside the Latino world. Lianna is a Medical Æsthetician having graduated from the Versailles Academy of Make Up Arts, Æsthetics, and Hair (2010) in Ottawa. She is also a Registered Nurse (1998) (RU) and a licensed Medical Doctor (2006) (RU) with experience in general practice, particularly in gerontology. Natallia Haiduk
Natallia practices æsthetics, electrolysis for hair removal, and advanced electrolysis for non-invasive electrocoagulation at the MEDI SPA ON BALMORAL.
In 1996, She graduated with honours in Computer Science from Gomel State University in Gomel, Belarus, and with a post graduate degree in Physics in 2000. She graduated with honours in Professional Æsthetics and Electrolysis from The Ottawa School of Beauty Ltd. West End Campus School in 2007, and from the Caruso International School of Electrolysis in Toronto with an advanced electrolysis certificate in Electrocoagulation in 2012. Canadian National Institute of Health in Ottawa as a Dental Hygienist in 2011.
She is an active member of the Federation of Canadian Electrolysis Association and the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association, and the Ottawa Dental Hygienists Society. She worked locally with a Canadian Dermatologist for over 5 years until clinic closure and in several Ottawa spas such as Spa Haven/Spa Club, the Hummingbird Spa, and Jack Salon and Spa. As well, she currently works part-time in a dental clinic in Cornwall, Ontario.
