"It means someone is attacking me. Let's see the report - looks like three someones."

"Wow. What can you do about it?"

"Let's check - 4 other planets under attack in my galaxy. Let's see who's logged in. The Minister of War and two others. Let's check if they're on IRC."

Good. They're all in the alliance forum."

"No, it's OK. I need to tell you about it first, though."

"OK." "Sure." Sarah just smiled enquiringly and nodded.

Fred told them about John's mugging, the IRC transcripts, the microphones, and the possible connection to the fire bombings in Europe.

"So what are you doing now?"

"John and Rodney are checking the names from the IRC transcript, plus trying to reach the gamer whose brother was killed in the fire bombing."

"Didn't your mom and the polic constable tell you they would handle it? That you shouldn't get involved?"

"Yeah, but the three of us agreed that we would check this out for our friends and it's a long shot area that the police might not follow up, or might not be able to cause it's outside their territory. At least that's what we agreed before last night's meeting with the constable."

"Well, I'd do that for my friends, too."

"Let's check on John and Rodney."

"The first line shows that my planet has 3000 attackers, and 3500 defenders. The other lines show who is attacking (with - signs) and defending (with + signs). The single digit number there shows how many hours until they arrive."

"Looks like useful information. And you can only get it in your own galaxy?"

"Yup. First, back to the main alliance window."
