"So what do we do?"

Mr. Ellsley paused, about to knock on Rodney's door.

"Well, I think we have to tell Constable Robertson."

Mr. Ellsley's eyes widened slightly. Should he eavesdrop? If they were going to tell the constable anyway, maybe he should let them solve their own problems.

"Well, he knows parts of it already. I think he will believe us when we tell him about it."

That settled it. Mr. Ellsley was sure that this was going to turn out right, and he did not want to eavesdrop on his kids. Whatever trouble they were in, Constable Robertson could take care of it. He went back to his report.

"Well, even if he does, he may not believe all of it. Why did they hit John on the head? What do they want to gain by bugging our rooms? Could we be over reacting?"

"What about that other skinhead, the one that said he is on the side of light and goodness? Is he finding out anything? Constable Robertson probably knows what he know. He's the only one who can get all the facts. I say we tell him what we know." Rodney spoke forcefully.

"Everybody agreed that we do that?" Fred saw both friends nodding, then added. "But we try to get information from Constable Robertson. If we're in danger, we need to know what's going on, and why!"

"Good idea," said John, "Let's see what else we can find out, too. Maybe those skinheads used the same nicks other places that they used in that IRC session with Paul."

"You mean like online news groups?" asked Rodney.

"And even as Planetarion player names." said John.

"Maybe Planetarion can help us find out stuff, if they are using Planetarion's IRC sites." suggested Fred.

"Can you spy on IRC sessions without anyone knowing?" wondered Rodney.

Fred thought for a second. "If they can't normally, they might be able to create a special version of the IRC server. It would probably add to the processing load on their computer."

"How about the guy whose brother was killed in Antwerp? Can we contact him? Like Constable Robertson, he might be in a position to put different information together."

"I understand he hasn't been on Planetarion since. His account was closed for being inactive." offered Fred. "He was in my galaxy."

"Did you have his e-mail?" asked Rodney.

"No, but I can ask around."

"Can you do that in the next few days?"

"Not really, I have to go to camp on Sunday, the day after tomorrow, and I have to go shopping with Mom tomorrow for gear."

"Oh, that will have to wait then."

"Wait! The camp has computers and an internet connection. And one of the counselors is in my galaxy. I can check up on this at camp."

"OK, but John and I will have to do the internet search without you."

"And we can talk to Constable Robertson after you get back."

Knock, knock.

Mr. Ellsley stepped into the room.

"I only heard a bit as I came to your room, Rodney; I don't make a habit of listening at keyholes. But what has Constable Robertson got to do with an internet search?"
