<GreenBack       > What time do you want to launch?
<Eeevil Weevil   > 1:00am server time
<Eeevil Weevil   > That's midnight in England, 7pm in East US, 4pm in West US
<Orange Kookie   > I hope they haven't forgotten to post an alliance.
<Orange Kookie   > I lost 700 ships last time and didn't get a single roid!
<GreenBack       > What do we do to make sure that doesn't happen?
<Orange Kookie   > Crush all their planets at once so they can't defend each other. <grrr>
<Fly By          > Figure out who they are and spam their IRC port so they can't call for help. :)
<Orange Kookie   > Figure out who they are and only attack when they are asleep. :)

Fred groaned, thinking, "Oh, good, I've asked a stupid newbie question."

"Fre-e-e-ed!"

"Yeah, Mom."

"Are you using the phone?"

"Yeah"

"What are you doing?"

"Chatting with some friends."

"Chatting? You mean you aren't online with the computer?"

"No, Mom, we're using a chat program."

"You mean you're using the computer as a telephone?"

<Eeevil Weevil   > Which week are you going to camp?
<GreenBack       > July 8-14

"No, Mom. We type a line and hit enter, and whatever we type shows up on all our screens."

"Are these your friends from school?"

<Eeevil Weevil   > Don't plan any attacks for that week, except for maybe Wed night.
<GreenBack       > Why?

"No, Mom, a different set. From all over."

"Do you know anything about these people?

"One of them is a counselor at the camp I'm going to."

<Eeevil Weevil   > You'll be too busy. :)

"Social interaction is a good thing. I won't interrupt you just now. Can you be off the phone in 15 minutes? I have to talk to your Grandmother."

"OK, Mom, 15 minutes."

<GreenBack       > Thanks for the tip.
<GreenBack       > I'll be on IRC at launch time.
<GreenBack       > Bye for tonight.

Wow. So social interaction is good, eh? I should always leave IRC up when I'm working on my planet!
